Nationally acclaimed American educator and conductor Michael R. Gagliardo has served as the Director of Orchestras at Nolensville High School since July of 2024. He held the same position at Thompson’s Station Middle School from July 2024 until May 2025.

From August of 1995 until May of 2024, Gagliardo served as Music Director of the Etowah Youth Orchestras. In May of 2016 he was named Music Director & Conductor of the Gadsden Symphony Orchestra, a position he held until June 2025. He has also served as Conductor for the Mark Wood Experience.

​Gagliardo is also a recognized composer, arranger, and speaker. In 2015, his composition Corbeau: Suite for Orchestra received its Carnegie Hall Premiere.
